  • Chinese Clinical Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Adult Sleep Rhythm Disorders (2026) (Abbreviated Version)

    精简版指南给出睡眠生物节律障碍的诊断与治疗规范,便于临床落地。

Sleep biological rhythm disorders (SBRDs), also known as circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders (CRSWDs), are common sleep disorders. This condition comprises a category of sleep disorders resulting from desynchronization between the endogenous biological clock and environmental time-giving signals, characterized by persistent desynchronization between the sleep-wake phase and social demands, accompanied by daytime functional impairment. Currently, no clinical guidelines for this disorder exist in China, leading to chaos in clinical diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop clinical guidelines for this disorder to standardize and guide clinical diagnosis and treatment. The Sleep Biological Rhythm Professional Committee of the Chinese Sleep Research Society organized domestic experts in this field to develop the "Chinese Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Sleep Biological Rhythm Disorders in Adults (2026) - Abridged Version" following the methodology for clinical practice guideline development. This guideline systematically elaborates on the pathological mechanisms, clinical classification, clinical assessment, diagnostic and differential diagnostic criteria, treatment, prognosis, and follow-up of sleep biological rhythm disorders in adults, and provides specific recommendations for special populations including shift workers, the elderly, and individuals with cognitive impairment, thereby providing a basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disorder.

  • Event-Related Potential Study on the Impact of Virtual Avatars on Player Aggressive Behavior

    用ERP证据揭示化身形象与行为如何交互影响攻击性,深化机制理解。

Objective To investigate the event-related potential (ERP) mechanisms underlying the interactive effects of avatar appearance and avatar behavior on player aggressive behavior. Methods From November to December 2023, 112 college students from Henan Medical University were recruited using convenience sampling and randomly assigned via a random number table to four video game manipulation groups: violent-justice (n=28), violent-injustice (n=27), non-violent-justice (n=28), and non-violent-injustice (n=29). During a competitive reaction time task (CRTT), ERP assessments were conducted to record the amplitudes of P2 and decision-related negativity (DRN) elicited during the decision phase, as well as feedback-related negativity (FRN) elicited during the feedback phase. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0, with three-way repeated measures analysis of variance employed to compare between-group and within-group differences in ERP indices. Results (1) Behavioral results revealed that the interaction between avatar behavior and avatar appearance was not significant [F(1, 108)=0.03, P=0.862], while the main effect of avatar behavior was significant [F(1, 108)=5.58, P=0.020], with the mean noise level selected by the violent group (4.67±0.17) being higher than that of the non-violent group (4.12±0.16). (2) ERP results revealed that during the decision phase, for the P2 component, the interaction between avatar behavior and avatar appearance was significant [F(1, 108)=12.556, P=0.001, η2=0.104]; under the non-violent condition, the amplitude for the justice avatar [(2.274±0.202) μV] was significantly greater than that for the injustice avatar [(1.138±0.199) μV] (P<0.001), whereas under the violent condition, no statistically significant difference was found between the justice avatar amplitude [(1.149±0.202) μV] and the injustice avatar amplitude [(1.446±0.206) μV] (P=0.305). For the DRN component, the interaction between avatar behavior and avatar appearance was significant [F(1, 108)=4.424, P=0.038, η2=0.039]; under the non-violent condition, the amplitude for the injustice avatar [(-7.922±0.975) μV] was significantly greater than that for the justice avatar [(-2.973±0.992) μV] (P=0.001), whereas under the violent condition, no statistically significant difference was found between the injustice avatar amplitude [(-7.815±1.010) μV] and the justice avatar amplitude [(-7.041±0.992) μV] (P=0.586). (3) ERP results revealed that during the feedback phase, for the FRN difference wave, the interaction between avatar behavior and avatar appearance was significant [F(1, 108)=4.078, P=0.046, η2=0.036]; under the violent condition, no statistically significant difference was found between the FRN difference wave amplitude for the injustice avatar [(-1.831±0.643) μV] and that for the justice avatar [(-1.063±0.631) μV] (P=0.396), whereas under the non-violent condition, the FRN difference wave amplitude for the injustice avatar [(-3.779±0.620) μV] was significantly greater than that for the justice avatar [(-0.461±0.631) μV] (P<0.001). Conclusion Avatar appearance and avatar behavior interactively influence the decision phase and outcome feedback phase of aggressive behavior.

    交叉滞后设计厘清三者纵向关系,弥补横断研究的因果推断局限。

Objective To investigate the longitudinal relationships among social support, life satisfaction, and problematic social media use in college students. Methods In November 2020 (T1), a questionnaire survey was administered to 3,200 students at North China University of Science and Technology. The survey assessed social support, life satisfaction, and problematic social media use using the following instruments: the Simplified Chinese version of the Perceived Social Support Scale, the Simplified Chinese version of the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), and the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS). A follow-up survey was conducted in December 2021 (T2), yielding a final valid sample of 2,266 participants. AMOS 24.0 was used for common method bias testing, Mplus 8.3 for cross-lagged analysis, and SPSS 27.0 for mediation effect testing. Results At T1, social support scored (57.29±9.87), life satisfaction scored (23.51±6.78), and problematic social media use scored (13.18±5.45); at T2, social support scored (54.48±11.78), life satisfaction scored (24.56±7.34), and problematic social media use scored (17.38±6.61). Partial correlation analysis (controlling for gender) revealed that social support at T1 and T2 was positively correlated with life satisfaction at T1 and T2 (r=0.53, 0.25, 0.31, 0.64, all P<0.001), social support at T1 and T2 was negatively correlated with problematic social media use at T1 and T2 (r=-0.27, -0.17, -0.16, -0.16, all P<0.001), and life satisfaction at T1 and T2 was also negatively correlated with problematic social media use at T1 and T2 (r=-0.25, -0.20, -0.12, -0.16, all P<0.001). Cross-lagged model results indicated that social support at T1 positively predicted life satisfaction at T2 (β=0.062, P<0.05) and negatively predicted problematic social media use at T2 (β=-0.054, P<0.05); life satisfaction at T1 positively predicted social support at T2 (β=0.126, P<0.01) and negatively predicted problematic social media use at T2 (β=-0.112, P<0.01). Mediation effect testing showed that, controlling for gender and problematic social media use at T1, the total effect of social support at T1 on problematic social media use at T2 was -0.069, with a mediation effect of life satisfaction at T2 of -0.017, accounting for 24.64% of the total effect. Conclusion Life satisfaction at T2 partially mediates the relationship between social support at T1 and problematic social media use at T2.

  • Difficulties in Emotion Regulation and Family Functioning as Sequential Mediators Between Kinesiophobia and Rehabilitation Adherence in Elderly Patients Undergoing Hip Replacement Surgery

    识别情绪调节与家庭功能的链式中介路径,提示康复干预的双重靶点。

Objective To investigate the chain mediating effects of emotion regulation difficulties and family function on kinesiophobia and rehabilitation adherence in elderly patients undergoing hip arthroplasty. Methods From March 2024 to July 2025, 252 elderly patients undergoing hip arthroplasty were selected using convenience sampling, with 213 valid samples. The Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia, Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale, General Functioning Subscale of the Family Assessment Device, and Orthopedic Exercise Adherence Scale were administered. Spearman rank correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and mediation effect testing were conducted using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS v3.5 macro. Results The kinesiophobia score of elderly patients undergoing hip arthroplasty was 27.00 (24.00, 30.50), the emotion regulation difficulties score was 48.00 (42.00, 55.00), the family function score was 1.92 (1.33, 2.75), and the functional exercise adherence score was 42.00 (25.00, 63.00). Correlation analysis revealed that kinesiophobia was positively correlated with emotion regulation difficulties (r=0.325) and family function scores (r=0.425), and negatively correlated with rehabilitation adherence (r=-0.446); emotion regulation difficulties were positively correlated with family function scores (r=0.375) and negatively correlated with rehabilitation adherence (r=-0.477); family function scores were negatively correlated with rehabilitation adherence (r=-0.660) (all P<0.001). Regression analysis demonstrated that kinesiophobia positively predicted emotion regulation difficulties (β=0.498, P<0.001) and family function (β=0.396, P<0.001); emotion regulation difficulties positively predicted family function (β=0.263, P<0.001); both emotion regulation difficulties (β=-0.210, P<0.001) and family function scores (β=-0.455, P<0.001) negatively predicted rehabilitation adherence. Kinesiophobia influenced rehabilitation adherence through the chain mediating effects of emotion regulation difficulties and family function, with a total indirect effect of -0.345 (95%CI=-0.440 to -0.254). Conclusion Kinesiophobia can indirectly affect rehabilitation adherence through emotion regulation difficulties and family function, demonstrating a chain mediating effect.

  • Short Video Addiction and Its Adverse Effects on Adolescent Development

    指出短视频成瘾对注意、执行控制与工作记忆的损害,提示干预重点。

The widespread use of short-form videos among adolescents and the addiction issues arising from their excessive use have become increasingly prominent, attracting widespread societal attention. A systematic review of previous studies reveals that the negative effects of short-form video addiction on adolescents are not confined to a single domain: in addition to sleep disturbances, emotional distress, and impaired social functioning, its detrimental impact on cognitive function is particularly pronounced, manifesting as the weakening of core cognitive abilities such as attentional stability, executive control, and working memory. Based on these findings, future research should advance in-depth investigations into tool development and longitudinal tracking to elucidate causal mechanisms, while simultaneously attending to protective factors and expanding the scope of cognitive function research, thereby providing more reliable scientific evidence for the prevention and intervention of short-form video addiction among adolescents.

  • A Meta-Analysis of the Intervention Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Autism Spectrum Disorder

    汇总多数据库证据,为rTMS用于ASD核心症状提供循证参考。

Objective: To systematically evaluate the intervention effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on core symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as well as multidimensional aspects such as emotion and cognition, providing evidence-based support for clinical practice. Methods: Databases including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Medline, and ProQuest were searched from their inception to February 25, 2025. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and single-arm studies involving rTMS treatment for ASD were included. Two researchers independently screened the literature and extracted relevant data. Meta-analyses were conducted separately for the two study types using R 4.4.2 software. Results: A total of 34 studies involving 1,069 participants were included. RCT results showed no significant improvement in core symptoms of ASD, such as social interaction (SMD = -0.16, 95% CI = -0.41 to 0.10, P = 0.230) or repetitive and stereotyped behaviors (SMD = -0.12, 95% CI = -0.38 to 0.13, P = 0.348). However, after rTMS intervention, scores on the Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RMET) decreased significantly between groups (SMD = -0.31, 95% CI = -0.58 to -0.04, P = 0.025). Conclusion: Current evidence is insufficient to support the notion that rTMS significantly improves core symptoms such as social interaction and repetitive behaviors, or cognitive function in ASD. Future large-scale, rigorously designed RCTs are needed to further investigate its therapeutic efficacy.

  • Effectiveness of Standardized Integrated Psychotherapy Protocols in Patients with Mood Disorders: A Retrospective Analysis

    以回顾性数据比较整合方案与CBT疗效,支持整合治疗的推广。

Effectiveness of Standardized Integrative Psychotherapy in Patients with Mood Disorders: A Retrospective Analysis Objective: To validate the clinical efficacy of standardized integrative psychotherapy in patients with mood disorders, and to provide a scientific basis for the development, dissemination, and clinical application value of standardized integrative psychotherapy techniques. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 73 patients who received psychotherapy. Patients who received the integrative therapeutic intervention were assigned to the observation group (n=34), while those who received cognitive behavioral intervention were assigned to the control group (n=39). The t-test, χ² test, and repeated measures analysis of variance were employed to compare the results of the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) scale and the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) between the two groups before and after intervention. Results: After intervention, the observation group showed significantly lower GAD-7 scores (t=9.799, p<0.001) and significantly lower PHQ-9 scores (t=8.751, p<0.001) compared with pre-intervention; the control group also showed significantly lower GAD-7 scores (t=2.764, p<0.05) and significantly lower PHQ-9 scores (t=2.368, p<0.05) compared with pre-intervention. After intervention, the observation group had significantly lower GAD-7 scores than the control group (t=-1.999, p<0.001); regarding PHQ-9 scores, no statistically significant difference was found in post-test scores between the two groups when baseline was not adjusted, whereas analysis of covariance controlling for pre-test scores revealed that the observation group scored significantly lower than the control group (F=7.895, p<0.05). In terms of pre-post differences in GAD-7 scores, the observation group was significantly higher than the control group (t=4.063, p<0.001); in terms of pre-post differences in PHQ-9 scores, the observation group was significantly higher than the control group (t=3.759, p<0.001). Conclusion: Standardized integrative psychotherapy techniques are effective in improving symptoms in patients with mood disorders, and demonstrate superior efficacy compared with cognitive behavioral techniques.

  • TURN Around Behavior: Reducing Exclusionary Discipline and Promoting Inclusion Through a Four-Step Framework

    提出四步框架减少排他性纪律,为学校行为支持提供可操作路径。

The purpose of this paper is to present a four-step framework for reducing exclusionary discipline and thus increasing inclusion of students with and at risk of disabilities that impact their behavior. This paper begins by discussing reasons exclusionary discipline has persisted, reasons that positive behavioral interventions have been slow to be adopted, and the importance of function-based thinking. The TURN Around Behavior framework includes (a) teaching expectations and behavior, (b) using antecedent strategies to prevent problem behavior and encourage behavior that meets expectations, (c) responding to student behavior using positive reinforcement or corrective feedback, and (d) noting student progress and modifying the intervention as necessary. Finally, implementation guidance and support are provided for each step in the context of a fictional vignette based loosely on the authors’ collective experiences in schools, which describes the application of this framework in the classroom.
