Expert Consensus on Standardized Service Management for Patients with Schizophrenia in China (2026)

Patients with schizophrenia often have poor compliance with treatment regimens, resulting in low cure rates, high relapse rates, high hospitalization rates, and high disability rates. These are all serious mental disorders that require urgent attention and prevention measures in China. To effectively implement laws, regulations, and policies related to mental health care in China, and to further improve the management system for services related to severe mental disorders, the National Center for Mental Health and Psychiatry has launched a project aimed at providing timely and effective medical and social services to patients with schizophrenia. This project incorporates the latest research findings from both domestic and international sources, along with practical experience in managing services for severe mental disorders in China.
