Analysis of the Current Status of Endovascular Treatment for Patients with Ischemic Stroke in Guangdong Province, and the Mortality Rate Among Hospitalized Patients

Objective: To conduct a systematic analysis of the implementation of endovascular treatment for ischemic stroke in Guangdong Province from 2016 to 2022, along with an examination of the hospital mortality rate. Methods: Data on endovascular treatment for acute ischemic stroke from the Guangdong Health Information Direct Reporting System during the period 2016–2022 were analyzed. The hospital mortality rate was used as the primary outcome indicator for assessing medical quality. Results: In 2016, there were 356,114 cases of ischemic stroke, and 779 cases received endovascular treatment (0.22%).
