The impact of anxiety on non-suicidal self-harm accompanied by attempted suicide, as well as the mediating role of family system dynamics

Objective: To investigate the role of anxiety and systemic family dynamics factors in non-suicidal self-injury among adolescent patients with depression, particularly those who have attempted suicide but failed. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 181 adolescent patients with depression. Face-to-face interviews and online questionnaires were used for data collection. Assessment tools included a custom-designed demographic questionnaire and the Scale of Systematic Family Dynamics (SSFD).
