Prefer humans over artificial intelligence? Recommendations: The cognitive mechanisms underlying the adoption of recommendations are influenced by the source of those recommendations.

There is currently disagreement among researchers regarding whether people prefer to accept suggestions from humans or from artificial intelligence (AI). Some studies suggest that people prefer human-provided suggestions, while other studies indicate that people prefer suggestions from AI. Combining the dual attitude model and the dual-system model, a cognitive mechanism model was developed. This model suggests that people have relatively negative implicit attitudes toward AI, compared to humans.
